Types of Decks
WATERPROOF
On-deck membranes are basically waterproof flooring. Membranes can be constructed with materials that are resistant to mold, mildew, and UV. They can provide slip resistance that can be otherwise lacking from some kinds of decking.
COMPOSITE
Composite decking is a man-made building product made up of mix of wood fibers, plastics and a small amount of bonding agents. The resulting boards need far less maintenance than traditional wood decking whilst looking more authentic than plastic alternatives.
WOOD
Wood or timber decking can be used in a number of ways: as part of garden landscaping, to extend living areas of houses, and as an alternative to stone based features such as patios. Decks are made from treated lumber, composite lumber, composite material, and aluminum.
CEDAR
It's a durable wood that is naturally resistant to rot, decay, insect attacks, and resists moisture absorption, so it tends to last longer, needs less maintenance, and doesn't warp or split as easily. A cedar deck can last for 15-20 years or more, depending on maintenance and environment.
